Wonderland

  • Ivy Arts Centre, University of Surrey 388 Perimeter Road Guildford, England, GU2 7XH United Kingdom (map)

What if Wonderland wasn’t just a place in a storybook? What if it were a world you stumbled into when life felt upside-down?

In this bold, vibrant reimagining of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Alice is no curious child – she’s a grown woman, juggling family, career, and the pressure of modern life. When a twist of fate drops her into a Wonderland full of wild characters, strange rules, and dangerous temptations, she’s forced to confront her fears, her desires, and what really matters most.

With a funky, theatrical score by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Bonnie & Clyde), and a witty, heart-filled story, Wonderland is a dazzling musical about courage, curiosity, and the power of embracing who you are.

Expect a Wonderland that’s a little edgy, a little sexy, and absolutely unforgettable!

Let yourself loose in this grown-up fairytale bursting with humour, heart, and a touch of mischief.

GSA is especially honoured to have received special permission from Frank Wildhorn, making us the very first Drama School in the UK to stage this incredible piece of Musical Theatre.

This live production features BA Musical Theatre final year students in collaboration with BA Theatre Production and MA Stage Management students.
