Georgia & The Vintage Youth

Georgia is fast emerging as one of London’s brightest up and coming young artists.  Compared to the late Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith, Georgia performs both in the UK and internationally.

Her retro jazz/swing style of music is both vintage and fresh, hence the name of the band. BBC Introducing Essex have taken a keen interest in Georgia following her Brentwood Festival performance supporting ‘Squeeze’. Georgia and her band now gig regularly all over the UK and are being played regularly on BBC Radio. Georgia's appearance on Vintage TV (Virgin 343, Sky 369, Freeview 82) for their Christmas sessions special Dec 2017 was truly memorable and a new compilation EP titled 'Remember Brick Lane' has attracted fans in Germany, Australia, Japan, New, Zealand and America with 'Glory' (a track from that EP) being nominated record of the week by BBC Cornwall.

Me and My Girl - Frinton Summer Theatre

When through and through cockney chappie Bill Snibson learns that he is the 14th heir to the Earl of Hareford you could knock him down with a feather. There’s only one snag: in order to receive his inheritance he must gain the approval of Sir John and the Duchess. They think that with a little grooming he might pass muster – as long as he agrees to break up with his equally cockney girlfriend Sally Smith. “Not on your Nellie”, says Bill. So Sally has to secretly go to finishing school. But will it finish her off? This wonderful Olivier award winning musical contains the great British classics “Leaning On A Lamppost”, “The Sun Has Got His Hat On”, and “The Lambeth Walk”. Ocean Theatre Company 10th Anniversary Concert

Ocean Theatre Company began its journey in January 2009 when a small group of like-minded people met to see if there was interest in setting up a new performance group.  By the end of that workshop they had decided to rise to the challenge and Sweeney Todd was staged at the Britvic Theatre, Ascot after just 8 weeks of rehearsals.

For those that have been involved since the start, it is hard to believe that the company is now completed its 21st production and has performed for 10 years since that inaugural show.

We are excited to announce plans to commemorate this landmark anniversary with a Gala Concert celebrating the past productions, members, alumni and parents.

We have had the privilege of working with over 100 talented young actors over the years and many of them will return to reprise some of the highlights from past shows for this special one-off event.
